岛屿环流理论发展回顾及展望

摘要:
岛屿环流理论这一古老而经典的理论工具虽然表达形式简单,但是其却能抓住主要因素,将岛屿周边的海水流动的主导控制机制简洁的表达出来,给出合理的诊断结果。在当代海洋学研究中,该理论方法仍可占据一席之地。在如长期气候变化背景下海洋的响应以及深海环流等前沿研究方向中起到指导作用。本文首先回顾了岛屿环流理论的发展过程,对其重要的发展里程碑和实际应用进行了系统梳理。同时,对岛屿环流理论未来的进一步丰富发展的重点方向进行了展望。分析结果显示该理论仍存在深入发掘的潜力,可在如积分路径设计、时间变化项的影响和地形和斜压效应的影响等多方面进行细节的修正和补充,拓展其应用的时间和空间尺度。

The review and outlook of the Island Rule

Abstract:
The Island Rule is a classical theoretical tool, even so its expression is simple, however, it can capture the main element and concisely express the dominated mechanism which could control the circulation around the island, then present the reasonable diagnostic result. In the contemporary ocean study, this method could also occupy a position. It will guild many cutting-edge research orientations, such as the response of ocean to the long-term climate change and the abyssal ocean circulation. In this paper, the process of development of Island Rule is reviewed, the important milestones and practical applications are analyzed. Meanwhile, the outlook of the future development direction of this method is performed. The analysis shows that there is abundant development potential in this theory, it can be further supplemented and revised in details through some ways, such as the design of path integral, the impact from time dependent term and the impact from the variable depth term and baroclinic term. The suitable practical spatial and temporal scale of this theory need be broadened.
