山东近海分粒级叶绿素a的时空格局及其成因分析

摘要:
浮游植物是海洋生态系统的基础环节,不同粒径的浮游植物在光合效率与生产力、营养盐利用策略、生物地球化学循环以及对气候变化的响应等方面存在差异。系统探查山东近海分粒级叶绿素a的时空格局及其成因,可为深入解析目标海区生态系统的结构与功能提供重要依据。为此,本研究基于2022~2023年开展的三次海洋调查,刻画了山东近海叶绿素a的时空分布和粒级组成,并分析了其与理化因子和贝藻养殖的关系。结果表明:山东近海叶绿素a在夏季最高,平均为2.94±3.23 μg/L,总体呈近岸高、远岸低的分布特征,高值区分布在莱州湾、荣成-乳山和青岛-日照近海,丰富的氮盐支撑了浮游植物的高生物量;游植物粒级组成存在显著的季节差异,春季以微型和微微型浮游植物为主,夏季小型和微微型浮游植物占优,冬季微型浮游植物占比最高,其次是小型浮游植物;浮游植物粒级结构及时空格局除了受温度、浊度和营养盐等理化因子的影响,滤食性贝类的选择性摄食和海带的竞争也会改变浮游植物粒级结构。以上研究结果为研究山东近海生态系统,加强生态环境保护,提供了基础数据和科学参考。

Spatialtemporal distribution patterns of size-fractionated chlorophyll a and its cause analysis in coastal waters of Shandong

Abstract:
Phytoplankton form the foundational component of marine ecosystems, with variations in particle size influencing photosynthetic efficiency and productivity, nutrient utilization strategies, biogeochemical cycles, and responses to climate change. A systematic investigation of the spatiotemporal patterns of size-fractionated chlorophyll a and their underlying causes in the coastal waters of Shandong provides critical insights into the structural and functional dynamics of this regional ecosystem. Based on three marine surveys conducted between 2022 and 2023, this study delineates the spatiotemporal distribution and size composition of chlorophyll a in Shandong's coastal waters, while analyzing their relationships with physicochemical factors and shellfish-algae aquaculture. The results indicate that chlorophyll a concentrations peaked in summer (average 2.94±3.23 μg/L), exhibiting a general nearshore-high and offshore-low distribution pattern, with elevated values observed in Laizhou Bay, Rongcheng-Rushan, and Qingdao-Rizhao coastal areas, where abundant nitrogen nutrients supported high phytoplankton biomass. Significant seasonal variations in phytoplankton size composition were identified: micro- and picophytoplankton dominated in spring, nano- and picophytoplankton prevailed in summer, while microphytoplankton constituted the largest proportion in winter, followed by nanophytoplankton. Beyond the influences of temperature, turbidity, and nutrients on phytoplankton size structure and spatiotemporal patterns, selective feeding by filter-feeding bivalves and competition with kelp cultivation were found to modify the phytoplankton size spectrum. These findings provide fundamental data and scientific references for ecosystem studies and enhanced ecological conservation in Shandong's coastal waters.
