| 本文是西沙群岛棘皮动物研究报告的续编——海星纲。材料是根据中国科学院海洋研究所采集的标本,其中大部分标本是作者自己于1958年在该岛调查时所采获。海星纲标本共374个,经过研究鉴定，分隶于7科， 15属和17种。其中有一新种,有8种在我国属首次记录(下列名录中有*号者)。
我们在西沙群岛所采的海星纲种类不多，这是由于我们过去的采集工作局限于潮间带的缘故。如果能在潮下带进行采集调查，种数肯定会增加很多。 |

| Abstract: |
| This report is a continuation of previous study on the Echinoderms of Xisha Islands一一Asteroidea. The material for this study was based on the collections made by the Institute of Oceanology，Academia Sinica，and most of them were collected by present author in 1958. A total üf 374 specimens of Asteroids were studied, and these comprise 7 families, 15 genera and 17 species. Of these one species is new to science and 8 species are recorded from China for the first time.
A list of species is given on page 131, in which those marked with an asterisk are the species recorded from China for the first time.
Description of the new species and the differences between Asterina burtoni cepheus (Müller et Troschel) and Asterina limboonkengi G. A. Smith are given below. |
