Abstract: |
We studied the Bacterioplankton on the voyage of the“Ecosystem Dynamics and Sustainable Utilization of Living Resources in the East China Sea and Yellow Sea”(EYSEC) during fall 2000, with the special attention to the spatial distribution of bacterioplankton in investigated area. The bacterial abundance and some related factors were studied. The range of depth profiles of individual bacterial abundance was 2.37—13.33 and 3.05—13.62 (×108cell/L) in the Yellow China Sea and the East China Sea respectively. The range of integrated bacteria biomass (IBB) was 100.60 to 940.87 (mgC/m2) in the Yellow Sea and 244.45 to 1812.90 (mgC/m2) in the East China Sea. The depth profiles of bacterial abundance were corresponded in the East China and Yellow Seas, while the IBB was higher in the East China Sea than it was in the Yellow Sea. The bacterial abundance was higher in the Changjiang River estuary, namely transect E and F, than other transects obviously. Bacterial abundance was decreased from the Changjiang River estuary, as a center, to outward. The distribution patterns of bacterial abundance, Chlorophyll-a and the NO-3 concentrations were different obviously. The correlation between IBB, IPB and INO-3 were different in the East China and Yellow Seas.
