根据2008 年1—5 月智利外海茎柔鱼资源调查中随机采集的663 尾样本(雌性464 尾, 雄性199 尾), 对其耳石形态特征进行观察与测量。观测表明, 茎柔鱼耳石具有长窄的吻区和宽大的翼区。对耳石10 项形态参数进行主成分分析, 结果显示, 耳石总长(TSL)、吻侧区长(RLL)、翼区长(WL)可以作为耳石长度特征的代表, 最大宽度(MW)则可代表耳石宽度特征。雌性个体TSL、RLL、WL 和MW 与胴长(ML)之间为线性关系(Y = a + b×ML>) (P<0.05), 生长系数b 在1.9358—2.9607 间, 其中MW 的最小, WL 的最大, 耳石各区为均匀生长。雄性个体TSL、RLL、WL 和MW 与ML 之间为幂函数关系(Y = c×MLd) (P<0.05), 生长系数d 在0.9165—1.1877 间, 其中TSL 生长速度慢于ML, RLL 和MW 基本与ML 一致, WL 则快于ML, 耳石各区为非均匀生长。

Statolith in cephalopod is an important hard tissue, and understanding its morphology is a basic research issue in fisheries biology. A total of 663 samples (464 females and 199 males) were collected off Chile by Chinese squid jigging boat during January to May 2008 and observed and measured in morphology. The results indicate that the statolith of Dosidicus gigas has a wide wing and long, narrow rostrum domes. The result of principal component analysis on nine morphologic indices shows that total statolith length, rostrum lateral dome length, wing length, and the mutual relationships can be used to distinguish among female and male individuals, and that the growth of statolith of male squid is uneven.
