Abstract: |
Based on the morphological and anatomical methods, and tissue cryomicrotomy, the taxonomical study on the geniculate coralline algae (Corallinales, Rhodophyta) collected from Nanji Island, Zhejiang Province were carried out. A total of 5 species including in 2 genera were identified. Among them, there are one species (Amphiroa beauvoisii) belonging to Family Amphiroideae and other (Corallina confusa, C. crassisima, C. officinalis and C. pilulifera) to Family Corallinaceae. Their morphology and inner anatomical characteristics were compared and described according to the pictures from frozen slices. Combined with recent international changes about the above species, the current problems referring to the species status of A. zanata, Bossiella cretacea and Marginisporum crassissimum recorded previous from Chinese coasts were analyzed and discussed in details. It will be advantaged in a more in-depth understanding to the coralline algal taxonomy. |
