Abstract:
Echinoderms are one of the main deuterostomias, which have important evolutionary significance. As important aquaculture species in China, sea cucumber and sea urchin have important economic and nutritional value. Immunity plays an important role in animal growth, development and reproduction, and microorganisms play a vital role in host immune regulation. Reproduction is an important life history stage of animals, but a series of physiological functions such as decreased immunity will appear in reproduction. This paper mainly reviewed the non-specific immune types of echinoderms, the microbial species regulate echinoderms immunity, the research progress of immune regulation and microbial synergies in echinoderms during reproduction, and outlook the research direction and application prospect of immune response in echinoderms, providing reference for future research and application of immune regulation in echinoderms during reproduction.
