Abstract:
Protective properties of spray Al coating on steel piles in marine environments are investigated in this paper. It is demonstrated by experiments that (1) spraying Al coating upon steel piles in the splashing zone from top to bottom before construction is effective; (2) protection of spray Al coating may not be suitable if extended to tidal zone without cathodic protection.
