INVESTIGATION OF ARTIFICIAL RADIOACTIVE ISOTOPE 137Cs IN OKINAWA TROUGH SEDIMENTS
Abstract:
The concentrations of 137Cs in Okinawa trough sediments collected in 1981 were determined by 8180-4k multi channel Ge (Li)7 spectrometer. The values of 137Cs are 0-92 pCi/kg·dr.wt. It is discovered that the concentrations of 137Cs decrease gradually with the increase of distance away from the seashore and that of the depth of seawater in Okinawa trough.
