Alaba picta

Abstract:
There is a great diversity of small gastropods in China, however, the related researches are nearly vacant. We sampled 2 species of small gastropods habitating among the Zostera marina L. from the Swan Lake, Rongcheng Bay, China and the 16S and 28S rRNA were sequenced. Based on the molecular data, sequences alignment, genetic distances and phylogenetic studies were conducted. The results showed that Machaeroplaxsp. identified according to the morphology should be Lirularia sp.; and that 4 gastropods with obvious morphological variances from Alaba picta had been classified as Alaba picta according to the molecular analysis.
