SUSPENDED SEDIMENTS AND ITS TKANSPORT IN THE AREA OF CHANGJIANG RIVER ESTUARY

Abstract:

The annual discharge of suspended sediments is approximately 500 mil. tons. of the suspended sediments, most are fine grained, with the size ranging from 17 μ to 4.7 μ, and a mean value of 8.6 μ. The entrainment of the suspended sediments along the Changjiang River estuary is south-east ward. The exchange of sediments between the channels is also discussed in this article.
