DETERMINATION OF POLYCHLORINATED BIPHENYLS IN MARINE SEDIMENTS

Abstract:

A convenient method is described for the determination of polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) in sediments. PCBs are extracted with acetone-petroleum ether (30-50℃ fraction) and measured on a gas chromatograph with an electron capture detector after clean-up on a sodium sulfate-florisil-alumina-silica column.
