THE SAMPLE PRESERVATION METHODS FOR THE DETERMINATION OF TOTAL DISSOLVED CARBOHYDRATES IN SEAWATER

Abstract:

In this paper, six methods of sample preservation for the determination of total dissolved carbohydrates in seawater have been compared. The method of freezing at - 20℃, addition of HgCl₂ and acidification With H₂SO₄ has been found to be effective for sample preservation.
