DETERMINATION OF THE CONCENTRATIONS OF PLUTONIUM IN SEDIMENT OF BOHAI BAY

Abstract:

The concentrations of plutonium in sediment of Bohai Bay was determined in 1982. The mean concentration of plutonium is about 5.5 fCi/g, Pu/¹³⁷Cs activity ratio in surface sediment is 0.036. The transport of plutonium from seawater to bottom and the relationship between the distribution of Pu and sediment grain are also discussed.
