DISCOVERY OF THE FLOAT-WOOD FROM ANCIENT HUANGHAI COAST OF NORTHERN JIANGSU

Abstract:

A huge piece of float-wood was found buried in ancient Huanghai Coast of northern Jiangsu (Fig. 1). ¹⁴C dating shows its age is 4540±120 years B. P.. Other informations revealed are as follows. 1. The climate was warm wet on the northern plain of Jiangsu about 4540 years. B. P.. 2. The coastal plain of northern Jiangsu had once been a wide Gulf in about 5000 years B. P..
