INVESTIGATION OF ARTIFICIAL RADIOACTIVE ISOTOPE ¹³⁷Cs IN OKINAWA TROUGH SEDIMENTS

Abstract:

The concentrations of ¹³⁷Cs in Okinawa trough sediments collected in 1981 were determined by 8180-4k multi channel Ge (Li)₇ spectrometer. The values of ¹³⁷Cs are 0-92 pCi/kg·dr.wt. It is discovered that the concentrations of ¹³⁷Cs decrease gradually with the increase of distance away from the seashore and that of the depth of seawater in Okinawa trough.
