THE SPECIATION OF TRACE ELEMENTS IN NATURAL WATERS

Abstract:

This article demonstrates the importance and some aspects of trace element speciation in natural waters, including ( 1 ) sampling and storage of samples, ( 2 ) methods of determination, ( 3 ) the relationship between speciation and toxicity, ( 4 ) the complexing capacity of a water system, ( 5 ) trace elements in seawater, and ( 6 ) prospects.
